SAMPLE RECIPES:
APPLE - SPICE SNACK CAKE
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
3/4 cup Molasses
1/4 cup Oil
1 Egg
1 teaspoon Soda
2 cups Flour
1 teaspoon Ginger
1/2 teaspoon Cloves
1/2 teaspoon Salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease 9" x 9" pan. Stir together applesauce, molasses, oil and egg till blended. Stir in flour and remaining ingredients. Pour batter into pan. Bake 45 minutes or until center of cake springs back when touched. Cool in pan on wire rack.
CHICKEN CURRY
Ingredients:
2 - 3 lbs. Chicken Leg Quarters
1 large Onion
2 Tbsp. Oil
1 1/2 cups Diced Potatoes
6 cups Water
1 cup Green Beans
2 Tbsp. Curry Powder
2 Carrots, sliced
1 tsp. Salt
2 cups Shredded Cabbage
1 1/2 cups Diced Fresh or Canned Tomatoes
Directions:
Saute onion in oil. Add curry powder and salt. Clean and take skin off chicken. Add to onions. Saute chicken with onions. Add rest of ingredients. Cook all together til tender. Serve over rice.
